The first thing the Workbench asks for is an account. It takes a minute.

Creating one

1

Tap Sign up

On the first screen.
2

Enter your email and choose a password

Any email — it does not have to match your Apple ID.
3

Confirm, if asked

Depending on how your account is set up, you may get a confirmation email.

What the account is for

Two things, and only two:
  1. It makes your data yours. Everything the app stores is locked to your account, so your figures are yours and nobody else’s.
  2. It lets your history survive your phone. Backups are tied to the account, so a lost or reset phone is an inconvenience rather than a disaster.

There is nowhere else to go

This is worth saying plainly, because health platforms usually have a website you are supposed to visit. You do not have a Vitality Tracker website to log into. There is no dashboard elsewhere, no second app, nothing to check. Everything you will ever see lives in the Workbench on your phone.
This is deliberate. We rebuilt the sign-in flow specifically so that Workbench testers never need to think about the wider platform. If a page here ever suggests going somewhere else to see something, that page is wrong — tell us.
It also explains something you will read later: Vitality Score and Symptoms are not “available on the website”. They are not available anywhere yet, and when they are, they will appear right here.

Signing in on a different phone

Your data follows the account, not the phone. Sign in elsewhere and you can restore your backup.
Signing out clears the local database for that account on that phone. That is intentional — it stops one person’s data being visible to the next person who signs in — but it means you should take a backup before signing out.

If you forget your password

Use the reset link on the sign-in screen. If that fails, tell us; we can sort it out at our end.
