+ Add → Bowel Movement. Yes, really. It is a genuine digestive-health signal, it takes two seconds, and we would rather ask than pretend it does not matter.

Three states, not two

This is the unusual part, and worth understanding: The third is a real answer, and different from “none”.
“I definitely had none today” and “I did not think about it” are completely different facts. Collapsing them would mean the app inventing zeroes for every day you did not open it — and a chart of fabricated zeroes looks exactly like a chart of real ones.

What to record

Whether it happened and roughly how many times. Optionally the Bristol type — a standard seven-point scale describing consistency, with a plain-language note beside each (“soft blobs, clear edges”). Useful if you are tracking gut health; ignorable if you are not.

Why it is asked at all

Digestive regularity tracks with a lot: diet, hydration, stress, illness, travel, and gut health generally. It is one of the cheapest signals available and one of the least collected, because nobody builds it into a watch.

If this is not for you

Skip it entirely. Never logging it is a perfectly good answer, and we fully expect it to be among the least-used markers — which is itself one of the things we are measuring.
