Your details

Date of birth, sex, height, weight — what you entered at setup. These feed real calculations rather than filling in a form. Age bands nearly every reference range; height and weight drive metabolic rate; sex is an input to published body-composition equations. Keep weight current. Several figures depend on it, and a stale weight quietly skews them.

Goals

Targets the app measures you against — sleep duration, activity, steps. Sleep goal is the one that changes what you see most: your sleep rings fill against it, so setting it honestly matters more than setting it aspirationally.

Night Log

A toggle, off by default. When on, and you wake in the night, one tap records it — without properly waking you up. See Sickness and Night Log. Why it is off by default: it is only useful if you are the kind of person who wakes and notices. If you sleep through, leaving it off costs nothing. Why we would like you to try it: what your device thinks was a waking, and what you actually experienced, are different things — and the gap between them is exactly the sort of check we need.

Morning alarm

Tell the app when you normally wake and whether you use an alarm. Why it asks. A natural waking and an alarm waking are physiologically different. If your alarm cuts a night short, the app should know that rather than reading the truncated night as your natural sleep need. Keep it current. A stale alarm setting quietly distorts your sleep-need estimate.
