What belongs here

Devices the Workbench connects to directly over Bluetooth, rather than through a service. For most testers this is empty, and that is completely normal. Your Apple Watch talks to Apple Health. Your Oura ring talks to Oura’s app. Neither appears here.

What does appear

The screenshot above was taken on Android, so it mentions Health Connect and Samsung Health. On your iPhone those rows will not appear — see iOS and Android.
Research hardware paired directly with the app — the JCVital band being the main one, used in our own device comparisons. If you were not given one, this screen is not for you.

Pairing

Add device, then follow the prompts. The app scans, you pick yours, it connects. Bluetooth pairing is fiddly on every platform. If it fails, the usual remedies apply: make sure the device is charged, close its own app, keep the phone close.

Connection state

A paired device shows its state — connected, disconnected, reconnecting — and its battery where it reports one.
A band that connects to only one phone at a time will refuse the Workbench while its own app holds it. Close the other app first.

If you have no devices here

Nothing is wrong and nothing is missing. Go to Data Sources instead — that is where wearables that sync through a service are managed.
